The Magic 8 Ball Knows All

Today started with Jaden riding his brothers like donkeys.  Yep … boys were napping on a blanket on the ground on their tummies.  I came into the room to find Jaden “sitting” on Weston’s back with one hand over his head saying “ride ’em cowboy!”  What did I do?  Ask him to hold that pose so I could grab the camera.  Mother of the year move or what?

This afternoon, Jaden and I took a little walk to the park behind my mom’s house.  We were on the swings and started talking to the other mom and her kids.  She asked me if I had any other kids.  I laughed and said, “yes I do … three of them.”  I got the usual laugh and comment on how she wouldn’t be able to do it.  Then she said, “are you done having kids now?”  I said yes!

Jaden turned around in the swing and said, “No, we’re going to have one more baby and it’s going to be a girl.  I asked the Magic 8 ball at the dentist and it said so.”  WHAT?  He’s asking a Magic 8 ball now for a sister?

Oh Jaden ….

Then we were walking back to mom’s and playing tag.  Tag Jaden you’re it!  I was walking, waiting for him to catch up and out of no where he comes flying from behind me yelling, “I’m running like a pickle!  I’m running like a pickle!”  I have NO idea what that even means, let alone know where he got it from.

He also let me know that there are gray Chinese birds that are very dangerous.  They attack you with the prickly things.  Then he continued to tell me that I had a Chinese bird in my pants.  I did a little crazy dance.  He laughs and says “Oh mom, I got you good!”  Or “ooo weee that was a good one!”

Today was just a funny Jaden day.  Full of randomness and laughs.  Gosh I love that little man!

Love, Mel

PS.  It’s been a while since I posted pictures of the triplets … so here are a few!

Weston – this little man is ALWAYS on the move.  He rolls both ways (back to tummy and over again).  Just last night he started getting his legs all curled under his body … getting ready to crawl!  I’m really going to have my work cut out for me!

Logan – his hair and eyelashes are really light.  (Just like the pictures of Doug when he was little).  I think his eyes are bluish … is that even possible with two brown-eyed parents?  He has proven to be the biggest flirt out of all the babes.  He smiles and coos at ANYTHING who will give him a little attention.

Awww and my Oh-dee (Owen).  He’s sitting on the couch, fingers to his lips, saying “eat your heart out ladies!”  He can roll over from his back to his tummy, but it takes an awful lot for him.  He’s just not that into it  🙂

  1. blue eyes from brown eyed parents is possible! remember punnett squares???? You have Doug must be Bb’s (one Dominant and one Recessive)…. resulting in a 1 in 4 chance of blue eyes. I love you Mel. Sending you, Doug, and Owen as well as the other little bundles lots of love and prayers. My magic eight ball is sending out positive vibes.
