We spent this past weekend up in DePere visiting with Doug’s family. It was his mom’s birthday on Friday and his sister was visiting from Nashville. As always we celebrated in true Bissing fashion … lots of snacks (especially ice cream), loud “talking”, games, fun and love. Sherri and I even made dinner for Mom Bissing! Spaghetti, meatballs and garlic bread sticks. I do have to say … Sherri and I made one tasty meal!
Of course I had my camera out and shooting. Here are a few of my favorites from the weekend.
Sherri & Weston
Mom Bissing & Eric playing ladder golf in the backyard. Cute little moment!
Doug was teaching Jaden how to sniper … or some boy thing like that.
Golly, look at Logan’s eyes!
Big boy is getting better at sitting!
Whoops, spoke too soon! TIMBER!
Napping under the tree in the backyard.
There were times I really missed Owen. Wishing that he got a chance to really know his grandparents, aunts, uncles. Wishing that he were here to roll around with his brothers. Wishing that there were three playpens in the living room or that there were three babies to feed in the morning. But it is what it is I guess. He’s gone. Owen is never coming back and no matter how hard I wish it, it’s the one wish that will never come true.
My sadness didn’t stand in the way from having a nice visit though. Looking forward to our next trip up there!
Love, Mel
even as an avid reader, I hope to see a picture of Owen show up…even though I know I wont.. OWENGE! <3 Glad to see you enjoyed Bissing time 🙂
Like some others commented….. Even though we may only know you through the blog, we also look for a picture of 3 babies. Missing our Owenge Warrior. I try to think of all the lives he has changed and that he is living with Heavenly Father and it eases a little.
looks like a fun and exhausting weekend! glad you had a nice time with family. my bible verse today screamed your name Warrior…
James 1:12
Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.
