Yesterday I had a link posted to my facebook wall from a fellow blog reader. Thank you so much Katherine for sharing this with me!
Have any of you heard of Craft Hope? I hadn’t until I clicked on the link. It’s a website that organizes service projects based on crafts people can make. Anyone can participate … anyone who is willing to make handmade crafts that is.
Project 16 is titled Littlest Warriors. They are making hats & bags for kids with leukemia. “You never know when your life is going to change forever.” Isn’t that the truth?!?!
These kids are real. Their pain and courage is real. They are literally fighting for their lives each and every hour. My Owen fought for his life. He didn’t win his battle, but maybe these kids will.
I’m sharing this because I plan to make some hats. I love to make girly things but having all boys I don’t have much use for them. So I’m stocked up on the purple and pink yarn and I’m going to make as many as hats as I can. A small donation from my Little Warrior to the Littlest of Warriors.
Love, Mel

I wish I knew how to sew so I could help you 🙁 I was a premie so along with helping the little warriors like owen my heart also goes to the babies born to early.. My talents are in the kitchen not crafts 🙁 times like this that makes me very sad because I’d love to help! I can do the no sew blankets though! I think it is so awesome that you are doing this! Owen sure is leaving his mark on the world 🙂
Hi Mel! I am also the mother of triplet boys. I have been reading your blog since I was on bedrest. (super fun!!!) Your spirit touches me and I know that you are a wonderful person and mom…I would really love to get my boys Owenge shirts and spread the love here in Georgia. How can I do that and what can we do for you guys?
I just wanted to invite you to a trplet mom loss group on facebook.. it is a great bunch of ladies. I lost 2 of my triplets and it has been a great source for help and comfort for me..
WHat a fantastic idea. My skills are somewhat limited but I’m game. Thanks for the idea…I’ll look into it.
Hey Mel! I tried the web site but could not get to it. What size hats do they need? I’ve done a ton this winter and have some yarn left over! I love crocheting hats!!!! A quick and rewarding project! Some of my favorites are the mo-hawk, butterfly and dino!!!!!
Hope all is well with you and yours.
