New me. New name.

It’s time for a blog rebrand. I’m a new me so our place together deserves a new name.

It’s been a long time since I’ve sat at my keyboard, ready to share with you. After a lot of prayer, fear and patience, I think it’s time to start putting my heart into words again.

So much has changed since we were last together. The boys are in 7th and 3rd grade. I’m a proud owner of home (which I bought all on my own #girlpower). My daddy won and then lost his battle with cancer. I started a new job in marketing. Most recently, I’m newly engaged to a wonderful man whom I’m excited to introduce to you! This also means I’ll soon be a step-mom to three beautiful girls!

You’ll notice that I’ve even renamed my blog to Life’s Perfect Blend.

Why rebrand my blog?

I first started writing as a way to keep friends and family updated on the ridiculousness of a triplet pregnancy. After their arrival, I continued to share stories of what it was like to have triplet infants. Then, more importantly, my blog served as a forum to call for prayer when Owen was found unresponsive. You all answered – in a really big way. Sharing my grief and sadness to you felt like having coffee with my very best friend. It was cathartic and healing.

I’m not exactly sure when things changed however, I just didn’t want to share anymore. I still shared with my close friends and family, but I didn’t want to write anymore. So I didn’t.

Then I started to hear the whispers. I started to feel my fingers need to find the keyboard again. So here I am. Following the whispers and going out on faith to start sharing again. These changes, and my new call to write, bring a new blog name.

What does the new blog name mean?

True beauty, the kind that takes your breath away and makes your heart pause in time, doesn’t come from all good. The moments in life that I love most, aren’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a blended time of happiness and sadness. There is a mixture of tears and laughter that make moments truly beautiful. I believe it’s because Jesus is near.

Life’s perfect blend is all I’ve known. It’s what I continuously seek. AND it’s soon to be a way to describe my own beautiful blended family.

Welcome to my new blog. I’ve missed you. I’m looking forward to spending more time together.

Love, Mel
