Since Middle School I’ve had a thing about quotes. I kept a quote journal where I wrote down sayings that spoke to me. Well, here is my digital quote journal to share. Some are from my own kids, and some I’ve stumbled upon when googling. I hope you find at least one that speaks to you or makes you smile.

Yes, being a mom is a lot of work and to be honest sometimes I don’t want to do it. That doesn’t mean I don’t love my kids, because there is no one in this world that I love more. What got me through some rough days is remembering that this is not only worthy work, it’s God’s work.

I have two new quotes that have meant so much to me since grieving the loss of my infant daughter:

I am a sister to a 4 year old, a nine month old brother (from dad and stepmom) and twin brothers who are almost seven months old. This morning I got in a fight with my mom about how I can’t sleep from the boys screaming. She had me read this tonight and now I took back everything I said and I can’t even imagining go through what you did. Your faith is so strong and you have such wisdom. I only hope that as I grow older I can have as strong of a faith as you and I pray that you and your family may find peace and I will always remember you story and little Owen, even though I didn’t know him.

I too have kept a quote journal since middle school and still love them to this day. I am so sorry for your family. When you have a quite moment look up this poem that has brought comfort to me and others I have shared it with. It starts: ‘Do not stand at my grave and weep

There are many quotes that I have now grown to hate…everything happens for a reason, the quote about setting something free and if it doesn’t come back it was never yours…urgh! I guess this is what happens when one loses a baby 🙁 I feel your pain…I lost my son at 5 months old.
