Today is Jaden’s first day at ‘real’ school.  He’ll be attending Willow Springs 4K in the morning and then finish out the day at Kohl’s day care until I’m done with work.  The bus comes and picks him up at 8:05am from Kohl’s and then drops him back off around 11:35, just in time for lunch and a nap!

He’s been so looking forward to today … when he gets to ride a school bus!  He was fearless and so brave!  Everything went so quickly, I didn’t have time to really process everything until the bus was driving away.  I didn’t shed a tear until I got into the car haha.

The bus pick up isn’t an ideal situation.  They won’t pull into the parking lot of the day care as it’s too tight of a turn around to get back out.  So, someone will be walking him thru the parking lot, and the bus is picking them up on the street.  I know he’s in good hands, but it’s a crazy hand off!  I can’t imagine what it’ll be like when there is snow on the ground!  There are just so many cars in the morning.  Everyone trying to get to work.  I’m sure they will get a system down and it’ll get better with time.

Whoopi couldn’t have said it better on the View this morning.  She just lost her mom at the end of August and she said she couldn’t stop thinking “who will love me like my mom did?”.  No one can possible love my Jaden like I do!  And I know this because there is no one that loves me like MY mom loves me!
